Amazing Morocco: My Fez and Chefchaouen Itinerary

    April 29, 2018

Probably the longest (and most tiring) trip of my life yet, but definitely one of the most stunning places I’ve been to. The 8-hour flight to Casablanca (not to mention running through the airport to catch the flight, whew!) then a 5-hour train ride to Fez, and 3 hours bus ride to Chefchaouen, was an adventure on its own. To see the all blue walls of the Blue Pearl City (my favorite color, btw), to savor the goat cheese salad and tagine in that spectacular view, and to get lost in the alley ways of the Fez Medina, made it all worth it.   Tagine and Goat cheese salad in Assada, Chefchaouen  Day 1:

Degustation at Nur, Fez Riad Fes Baraka, FezRiad Tayba, Fez

Every turn, every nook is awe-inspiring. And every rug and lantern you just want to take home. Fez and Chefchaouen was everything I imagined it to be. Every detail is an assault to the senses— the striking colors, the pungent aroma of the spices, the comforting taste of the mint tea, the never ending sound of catcalling, the feel of it all.

    One for the books.
