No Bacolod visit is complete without having that bowl of KBL. Three magical letters that stands for Kadios, Baboy and Langka, which makes up this magical soup. And where better to get it than in Sandok. They make the meanest KBL in town. Probably just as good as our grandmas make them– okay, I said probably. The broth is comforting and sour, as how it should be (thanks to our batwan). The pork practically melts in your mouth, and the kadios (pigeon peas) and langka (unripe jackfruit) completes the flavor and the texture.
While you’re there, don’t miss another Ilonggo dish, the Cansi Steak (P155). The portion may be small, but it is of of those cansi steaks that will blow you away.
Drop by Sandok (they have several branches all over the city), and enjoy their Ilonggo dishes and more!
