Two words: lechon and matcha. Recados won me over with perhaps God’s greatest gift to mankind, pork and desserts. And man, it was a life-changer.
The lechon porchetta is the perfect combination of tender, crunchy and fatty. It is so flavorful, you might have to skip those dipping sauces. I wanted to try their sizzling giant bulalo (P980) too, but they weren’t kidding when they said giant, it is massive. Serves 6-8 people, i think. Or if you’re up for a challenge, go have it, no judgements here. Make sure you leave some space for dessert, though. Because their matcha bomb is the bomb.
Shame Recados only open for dinner. Don’t be like me and show up there around noon. They also have decent turo-turo dishes. I’m definitely popping by again, this time for that giant sizzling bulalo and another slice of matcha heaven.
