It’s no secret that I’m head over heels for Bacolod food. But ask me what dishes I crave for the most, and off the top of my head, Cafe Uma‘s salmon and pancetta pasta will be in that list. It’s one of those dishes that you will lose sleep over— lying awake at night, hoping and wishing you can shove it in your mouth again. It’s thaaaat gooood. Their pate, also worth losing some sleep for. Chicken liver pate with cranberry jelly and crostinis (P155) Uma Special ( pesto, pancetta, salmon) P315They also have St. Jordi’s burger (P535) on the menu, the highly coveted burger that you can only get at the Negros Weekend Market. Sure, it’s pricier here, but if you can’t be bothered to wake up early on a Saturday morning, get it here. It is definitely worth the splurge.
It is no surprise how Cafe Uma turned into one of Bacolod’s institutions, ever since it opened in 2001. They are consistent in quality and their menu is very well executed. Everything that comes out from their kitchen is top notch! I can’t wait to come back and go through the entire menu. And to have that salmon and pancetta pasta again, of course.
