Hobbiton, Middle-earth

December 22, 2015

Peter Jackson fell in love with the rolling hills of the Alexander Farm, transformed it into the Hobbiton, filmed the epic Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit in this utopian estate, and we can say the rest is history. Now whether you’re a fan of the book, the movie, or the last person who haven’t read or watched it, it is impossible not to see how captivating this place is. You might actually just pick up the book on your way home!

A 2-hour scenic drive from Auckland will take you to the Hobbiton Movie Set where you’ll find 44 unique hobbit-holes, the Green Dragon Inn, the famous party tree and cool insider stories about the filming of the movies.
